In the past year we have given employment coaching to over 30 young people; nearly 90% of those we helped went back to college, into training or found employment.

Our employment support service is for those between 16-19 years old who wants to make a move towards gaining employment or do some training/education with a view to improving their employment potential.

In the past year Key have given training/employment mentoring to over 30 people and those we supported went into training, took a big step towards employment or found employment.

Key delivers this project in South Ribble and Chorley areas.

Key aims to help you build confidence and set goals so that you can find and maintain a job, complete a training course or gain useful qualifications.

How does employment support work?

You will be supported by a mentor on a one-to-one basis.

You will meet with your mentor on a regular basis and they will help you think about what you enjoy doing, what you are good at and what you might like to do in the future.

Along with your mentor you will put together a plan that breaks down your goals into manageable targets and we will give you support every step of the way to help you achieve these.

How can we help?

We could help you:

  • Improve your confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop life skills and set life goals
  • Get valuable work experience
  • Get into education, training or apprenticeships and traineeships
  • Improve your CV and interview techniques
  • Find and maintain work.

Did you know? - around a million young people are currently classed as NEET - not in education, training or employment.

Our aim is to help try and reduce that number.
