Growing Together

Growing Together

Key is supporting 'Children's Mental Health Week'

This week schools and colleges across the UK will be exploring the concept of growing together emotionally and thinking about ways to help each other grow.

Being a good listener can be a great support for your friends, ways to show someone you are listening and care for them are not talking over the other person, using nice facial expressions and sitting still when they are talking. To help someone else you can show kindness and empathy by asking how are they feeling, asking if you can help with anything or paying them a compliment.

Emotions can be hard to explain, we all have emotions and you can sometimes feel more than one at once, this can be very confusing. To help us cope with feelings like anger, worry, sadness or frustration, here is something you can do to help you feel more settled and distracted from those busy thoughts.

Mindfulness can improve your mental health, it can reduce stress and help you feel more in control. Taking time to relax and be mindful or helping a friend to be mindful will grow your mind. Click here to use our mindfulness worksheet to help you.
