Local biker group have donated £500 to Key

Leyland biker group 'The Leyland Eagles' have donated £500 to local charity Key Unlocking Futures. They have been raising money throughout the year, and more recently at their Rock Halloween event at The Leyland Suite on Saturday evening.

Jayne Allison, Key's Business Development Manager said, ' I'd like to thank Tony & Glenn who run the group for choosing Key as their charity partner for 2024/25. We are extremely grateful to The Leyland Eagles for their generous donation which will kick off our Magic Key Christmas appeal for 2024. All the money raised helps to support people at Christmas and fund Key's services for 2025. Key supports people across South Ribble and Chorley facing homelessness and domestic abuse, as well as offering services to help strengthen wellbeing and communities through activities at The Base on Broadfield Community Centre.

Leyland Eagles Chairman, Glenn Starkey said, 'We are a small group established in 1985, with a shared interest in motorbikes.  It is really important that as a collective we are able to support a charity in our own town and Key's mission is very close to our heart.  We are always looking for new members to join our motorcycle club and hold regular open bike nights which everyone is welcome to join.  Please get in touch via our Facebook page Leyland Eagles MCC for more information. Meanwhile we look forward to raising as much as we can in the coming year and supporting Key Unlocking Futures.
