Makeover for Key office thanks to Bell Group

Contractor Bell Group has a real commitment to its corporate and social responsibility.

Each year, Bell Group commits to social value projects. This year, Key Unlocking Futures was the beneficiary of a much-needed office makeover from Bell Group - who committed five days of labour and all the materials required (equating to a total social value of £1,675) to update Key's offices and counselling rooms.

Bell Group's Small Works Manager, Michael Basterfield, worked with the Group's Senior Contracts Manager, Phil McNulty, and Key's Operations Manager, David Nuttall, to arrange the makeover at Key's office in Balfour Court, Leyland, with Bell Group's Foreman, James Baker, completing the works.

James said: "It was a case of freshening up the spaces in the offices really, with all the walls and woodwork being painted throughout. With five days to complete the works, it was a case of choosing to do up the areas that would make the most significant difference to the employees and visiting clients at Key.

"With it being for a charity, in the tight timeframe that we had, we just tried to work that little bit harder, keeping to our high quality and standards, to make that difference."

Key's Counsellor, Rosie, worked with James from Bell Group to choose 'healing' and 'calming' colours for the counselling rooms.

Michael, Bell Group's Small Works Manager, added: "Our social value work - giving back to our communities, makes up part of our core work here at Bell Group. And each time, it's great to give back to the communities we work in."

Jayne Allison, Business Development Manager at Key Unlocking Futures, said: "We are grateful for our fantastic relationship with Michael and the team and delighted with the work of James and colleagues from The Bell Group.

"We would like to thank them for decorating our offices. It looks nice, clean and fresh now, and the newly lilac coloured meeting rooms will positively affect service users who use them - thank you to all concerned."

Bell Group also recently supported Key Unlocking Futures with their recent Big Sponsored Sleep Out campaign, raising awareness of homelessness and raising more than £6,000 to help the children, young people and families that Key works with who are experiencing homelessness and challenging times.
