How You Can Get Involved
The Base Community Centre Volunteers
Be the heart of your community
- Welcome visitors and run activities at our vibrant community hub
- Support the community shop, café, and garden projects
- Help with events, workshops, and programs that bring neighbours together
- Time commitment: Flexible - from a few hours weekly to occasional events
Volunteer Counsellors
Provide life-changing therapeutic support
- Deliver professional counselling to children, young people, and adults
- Work within our trauma-informed, strengths-based approach
- Requirements: Qualified counsellor with relevant experience or placement as part of a professional qualification
- Time commitment: Regular weekly sessions
Board Members
Help guide Key's strategic direction
- Unpaid trustees who govern our charity and ensure we stay true to our mission
- Bring your professional skills to support our 30+ year legacy
- Requirements: Commitment to our values and relevant experience
Time commitment: quarterly board meetings plus occasional events
