Magic Key - Christmas Fundraiser 2023

Key launches Magic Key 2023

‘Magic Key’ is an ambitious corporate Christmas fundraising campaign asking businesses to donate to Key Unlocking Futures. The aim of the campaign is to raise much needed funds for the charity so they are able to continue helping and supporting young people experiencing homelessness throughout the festive period and beyond.

Key supports young people from South Ribble and Lancashire experiencing homelessness and helps families to prevent homelessness.

Youth homelessness has risen for the sixth year in a row, with almost 136,000 young people approaching their local authority for homelessness support last year. Learn more about the causes and the solutions in Centrepoint's new report, Failure To Act: The Scale of Youth Homelessness: https://bit.ly/46Y1D7N

Key are asking businesses to sponsor the charity so they can continue to support young people  with a safe roof, food, clothing, and showering facilities. A safe place for young people to drop into where they can receive advice and support and genuine help from Key staff who will listen without judgement and offer practical support delivered in an asset based way to help them to get back on their feet. Key may also be able to provide family mediation to move them back home or where this is not possible help them to find accommodation and support and guide them during the early months of getting a tenancy. Key will help them to visualise a more positive future and to build better lives.
