Key’s Family Futures Service focuses on bringing families together using a combination of family therapy and mediation.
When family relationships feel broken, we help rebuild them.
Family relationships can get strained, and when that strain starts affecting everyone's wellbeing, we're here to help. Our free family support service (Family Futures) combines mediation with therapeutic support to help families find their way back to each other.
100% of families we've worked with have stayed together or reunited. Here's how we make that happen.
What makes our approach different?
We don't just mediate disputes - we help families heal. As an independent, caring presence, we create a safe space where everyone can talk honestly without fear of judgment.
We won't take sides or tell you what to do. Instead, we give you the tools and understanding to work things out together, building stronger relationships that last.
How it works
1. Individual Meetings First
- We meet with you separately to understand what's happening at home
- We listen to what you'd like to change, without judgment
- Everything you share stays confidential until you're ready to talk together
2. Family Sessions When You're Ready
- Everyone comes together in a safe, supported environment
- We ensure everyone gets heard and feels understood
- We help you stay calm while working through difficult conversations
- You develop your own solutions that work for your family
3. Ongoing Support
- We provide tools and techniques you can use at home
- Follow-up support to help new patterns stick
- Celebration of the positive changes you're making together

- 100% success rate - every young person stayed home or returned home
- 100% of families rate our service as good or excellent
- 100% showed positive change in emotional health and wellbeing
- 123 people completed wellbeing assessments with measurable improvements:
- 8% scored +20 points (exceptional improvement)
- 22% scored 10-20 points (significant improvement)
- 70% scored 2-9 points (positive improvement)

Our Family Futures support service is completely free for families in South Ribble and Chorley. Whether you're a young person struggling at home, a parent feeling disconnected from your child, or a family facing any kind of relationship difficulty, we're here to help.
This service is separate from legal mediation - our focus is on healing relationships and improving communication, not legal outcomes.
