I was nearly 60 and had no bank account or ID and I had my benefits paid into my mum's account. I have mobility issues and a number of other serious physical health conditions. I had worked for the civil service and then became ill, this stopped me from working and when my money ran out I buried my head in the sand.

 

I had been evicted from my previous PR tenancy leaving massive arrears.

 

Nine months later with support from Jude, I had a passport, a bank account, £2000 paid off my arrears following a referral for help to the Charity for Civil servants and a direct debit payment plan in place for the remainder.

 

I now have a disability allowance in place and am on all the correct benefits. Key helped each step of the way including supporting with a Mandatory Reconsideration to ensure I received everything I was entitled to. 

 

I now have a place of my own and get a care package to make sure that I can manage. Without Key’s determination, I wouldn’t have had the strength or knowledge to make any of this possible. I now feel settled and I have a lot to look forward to.
